Udom has done well - Daniel Udoh

Udom has done well - Daniel Udoh
A frontline politician and a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Daniel Udoh has rated Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration in the past 7 months high and offered him kudos for a job well done.

The ace politician who was fielding questions from journalists noted that at a time like this when the country’s economy is in shambles, it is a surprise that the Governor can still afford to pay monthly salaries when due and push to embark on capital projects.

He noted that the ingenuity of Governor Emmanuel to manage the lean finances of the state in the face of the falling oil prices was a clear testimony that he came into governance with the mission and vision to leave Akwa Ibom State and its people better than he met it.

Udoh disclosed that judging from the Governor’s humble performance so far, it has been proved to doubting Thomases that he was a rare and thorough breed who can stand the test of time no matter the financial and fiscal climate in clemency.
According to the Ibiono-Ibom born politician, fondly referred to as ‘Leader of Ibiono Ibom modern politics’, due to his ability to reach out and take the People along Udom’s emergence is not by happenstance but God’s divine arrangement which time is now.

Daniel Udoh dismissed the ongoing insinuations in some low and high quarters that Udom was Akpabio’s stooge; describing such belief as unfounded, careless and highest level of mischief.

Rather, Udoh also known as North-South in the business circle said “it is appointed to every man to pass through or ride on the back of somebody to glory or stardom and Udom’s case cannot be different. It is said that no man is an island. You must enjoy favour from somebody somewhere somehow to be able to make it. To me, if God has in His infinite mercy chosen former Gov. Akpabio to bring Udom into governance and government, what is the big deal? afterall even Akpabio himself did not emerge or come from the blues but human beings”. He noted with emphasis.

He described as unfair and inhuman attempts by some people to treat the Governor as a downcast by casting unnecessary aspersions on him. “I think this should stop forthwith”. He appealed, while pleading that all hands should be on deck to retain Udom in case of any re-run in the State.
