Take a resolution to be of good behaviour in 2016, Nsit Ubium Paramount Ruler urges youths

Indefatigable Paramount Ruler of Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, His Royal Majesty, Nsobom Solomon Etuk, has enjoined youths across the state to take a New Year resolution to be of good conduct, behaviour and above all, resolve to surrender their lives to God, the creator of Heaven and Earth.

Speaking with newsmen in his palace in Ikot Ukobo, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, the traditional ruler urged youths to as a matter of urgency disengage from and denounce vices such as cultism, armed robbery, stealing, rape, corruption among others which are capable of separating them from God and their avowed tradition which clearly abhors these vices.
Obong Solomon Etuk said as a Father and Traditional Ruler and tested Christian, the world is simply a stage and all of us are therefore passive bird-fellows whose time is not in our hands but the hand of God.
He explained that at the end of every year like this which marks the beginning of a new one, youths and even adults alike should see it as a period for stock taking and appraisal, so that they can do away with those things that have no benefit to God, who created us in his own image.
“Rather than indulge in drunkenness and all sorts of wayward behavioural tendencies which desecrate mankind, you should strive to conduct a search into your past life, with the view to carrying out some amends.”
On his expectation in the year ahead, the custodian of Nsit Ubium peoples tradition and culture said he was very optimistic that despite the present seeming hard times experienced by the people, this year, will surely usher in succor and reprieves that will  instantly proffer solutions to our teething problems and move Nigeria ahead.
