The Forum of village youth presidents, Eket senatorial district has made its stand known on the ongoing litigations against the incumbent Govervor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel.
Arising from an emergency meeting in Eket this week, the Forum threatened to mobilize all the youths in the senatorial district for mass exodus from the state if the PDP loses the executive seat. If this comes to pass, it will lead to the grounding of all the sectors of the economy, particularly petroleum. Already Bill Boards, posters and handbills carrying inscriptions such as:
Also speaking, the P.R.O, Pastor Victor Udofia said that robbing Eket Senatorial District of this opportunity is a subtle plan to send the youth out of Akwa Ibom State. Speaking in the same vein, Mr. Emmanuel Nyong, the Youth President of Udung Uko L.G.A stated that Oro Nation is solidly behind their brother, Mr. Udom Emmanuel from the same Senatorial District as Akpakip Oro was not ready to vote anyone from any other senatorial District.
Meanwhile a communiqué from the Forum declaring their support for Gov. Udom Emmanuel has been made available to the press.
The communiqué reads in part: “We have also resolved to affirm our determination to stand and defend the mandate massively given to His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel by the good people of Akwa Ibom State. While we reiterate on mobilizing the entire grassroot youths of our Senatorial District and Akwa Ibom State at large to stand on unflinching support to our dear performing Governor and concluded thus:
“Finally, the Forum stand tall and at all times to wage a global political war against any person(s), or party with the intent to destabilized or hijack the true image or mandate of His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel as was overwhelmingly given by the masses of Akwa Ibom State”.
