Info boss bags pathfinder award

The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Aniekan Umanah, has been conferred with Path finder Award by a Non Governmental Organization base in the state, “Dreams Alive Educational Foundation”.  Speaking at the event held in the conference room of the Ministry, the Information Commissioner Mr. Umanah, commended “Dreams Alive Educational Foundation” for aligning with the State Government’s vision in its Free and Compulsory Education policy and described Education as the bedrock of any progressive State or Nation. The Information Boss reiterated that, Education is a tool for moulding human character and emphasized that any society without education is set for a complete blackout.
Restating the State Government’s commitment to groom and develop the innate ability of Akwa Ibom child through education, the Commissioner reiterated Governor Udom Emmanuel’s relenting effort and keen interest in ensuring that every child in the state brings to bear that greatness God deposited in them for the greater fulfilment of his administration’s industrialization drive.

The Information Boss expressed appreciation to the Organization for the Award conferred on him and encouraged it to build synergy with relevant Government agencies especially Ministry of Education to ensure total achievement of their educational goal.
He assured the Foundation of his Ministry’s readiness to support their vision of spurring up the education system in the State in order to bring to the fore the greatness embedded in every Akwa Ibom child.
Earlier, the Chairman, of “Dreams Alive Educational Foundation,” Mr. Ndifreke Robert while presenting the award to Commissioner Umanah, commended him for the giant steps so far taken to rewrite Akwa Ibom name beyond the shores of Nigeria, adding that, the Path Finder’s award is for those who have made laudable impact in different sectors, with the commissioner for Information as one.
Mr. Robert lauded the commissioner for projecting the image of the State to an enviable height assuring him of the foundation’s commitment to battle educational challenges in the lives of Akwa Ibom people to enable the State rise to the height of greatness.
The event which was witnessed by, the Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Inyang Jameson and Directors, featured the presentation of the Pathfinder Award to the Commissioner by the Dreams Alive Educational foundation.
