FEYReP unveils reachout magazine

The Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Programme (FEYReP) a pet project of the wife of the State Governor, Her Excellency Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel, has unveiled the maiden edition of its magazine, REACHOUT.

Reachout, the 67 pages glossy magazine is a publication that provides accurate information about the FEYReP, and aims at sensitizing the public on pressing social issues, as well as highlighting some of the partnership building efforts of the Governor’s wife.
   In the publisher’s note titled let’s do this TOGETHER! Mrs. Martha Udom promised to add value to the society, by discharging functions complementary to her husband, and sued for partnership with stakeholders to Reachout and touch lives, especially of the less privileged in the State.
     The magazine features an exclusive interview with the initiator/founder of Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Programme (FEYReP), Mrs. Emmanuel, who hinted that she had always desired to empower people, saying “I’ve always wanted to touch lives of the vulnerable” and described some of the objectives of FEYReP to include empowering women and promoting their issues as well as creating opportunities for the youths for them to be economically empowered to compliment the job creation drive of the governor.
     Commenting on the pet project the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Aniekan Umanah said “FEYReP could not have come at a better time” and described the pet project as a tool of addressing the welfare of some disadvantaged groups in the state. He expressed hope that the publication will serve as a bridge to inform the public with government empowerment programmes.
