PDP is unshakeable, we’ll sadden APC Soon - Finance Commissioner

Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Akan Okon has expressed the optimism that his party, the PDP, is sure of overwhelming victory in case the ongoing seeming re-run election becomes a reality.
Mr. Okon who spoke at a Thanksgiving Service organized by Chief Israel Utit at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Ikot Obong Parish, Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area reasoned that the PDP was and still a party which is widely accepted and cherished by Akwa Ibom people anytime, anyday.

The Finance Commissioner stated that it would be difficult for a new party under any disguise to spring up overnight and hope to unseat a party that is already a ruling one in Akwa Ibom and which spread has cut across every family.
He explained that PDP members and supporters were too sophisticated and wise to be fooled by anybody or group pointing out that, as PDP state which Akwa Ibom is, “we are sure of winning any time election is conducted.
Our esteem members are too enlightened to be fooled and they are not easily convinced by any degree of lies and propaganda by any party and so we are not carried away by the numerous propaganda and unwarranted attacks launched on the law abiding members of our great party. This is a cloud in the tea cup which evaporates as soon as the tea is cold”, said the Commissioner, who himself is a loyal and committed Party man.
The Commissioner who represented the Governor, on the occasion further eulogized Udom’s administration giant strides, especially, in the area of administration and land mark industrialization plans for the state, enjoined the people to be steadfast assuring that Udom’s administration is determined to change the fortunes of the state in a record time.
“Governor Udom Emmanuel is a man of foresight, industrialist and a banker par excellence who is poised to leave Akwa Ibom State better than he met it, just like his predecessor in office, former governor Akpabio who also left some landmarks achievements in the state during his tenure”, Mr. Okon explained.
Okon, a seasoned financial expert described Udom’s industrial blueprints as the best  thing to happen to Akwa Ibom State and enjoined all and sundry to be weary of the new and renewed efforts to place the state first among equals in the fast moving era of industrialization, assuring that the state was soon to become an industrial hub.
He later donated the sum of N2 million to aid the church ongoing building and urged Christians to imbibe the teaching of Christ which among others, encourage the act of love and thanks giving which Chief Israel Utit has done in remembrance of what he passed through in the hands of kidnappers sometime ago.
The occasion was attended by Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Iniobong Essien, Dr. Val Attah, Engr. Bassey Ekanem of Base Engineering, immediate past Chairman of Ibiono Ibom, Obong Godwin  Ekpo, Representative Member in the National Assembly as well as Barr. Ime Okon of the House of Assembly among others.
