The Commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Industry in the state, Mr. Emmanuel Enoidem has disclosed that plans are on the way for the establishment of 10 Regional and International Market in Akwa Ibom.
He made this known yesterday when he appear before the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation to defend his ministry’s 2016 budget estimate.
According the Commissioner, “it will attract investors from different countries to bring their products to the state”, stressing that “Akpan Andem Market is already congested, hence the need for and open market front”.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Hon Usoh Akpanusoh thanked the commissioner for bringing out ideas that will help in generating revenue for the state, especially now that price of crude oil as fallen.
