It was a moment joy and glamour, for members and  friends of AKWA IBOM ONE VOICE FORUM, who came together to celebrate the yuletide. Food and drinks were not spared to showcase their gratitude to God for sparing their lives to see another new year. Various shows like cultural dance were on display to thrill the crowd.

The event was graced by patrons and distinguished members of the group. Opening speech and vote of thanks were done by the president, comrade Caleb Okpongette, who, said he was glad to withness the mammoth crowd which he added, shows that the group was expanding and will become formidable. will become.

The event took place at the former PDP secretariat along Ikot Ekpene Road. Many other guests spoke at the event bared their minds concerning the next administration of the state. 

However, they opined that the rate of poverty in the state is becoming too alarming, adding that adequate effort should be put in place by build industries and also boost the agricultural sector in the state. Nevertheless, they further said that AKWA IBOM ONE VOICE FORUM is ready to partner with the most acceptable gubernatorial candidate, who will align with some, if not all, of the groups’ aspirations.

AKWA IBOM ONE VOICE, is a sociopolitical organization with office at 9 Ikot Udoro street off Ikot Ekpene Road; its membership base is quite formidable and still expanding. The registered members are about 20,000.  It is a registered body with branches across all the geopolitical zones in the state.
