NAAKISS President advices Abak students

The President National Association of Akwa Ibom State Students (NAAKISS) University of Uyo, Comrade Mfon Umoh has urged students of Abak Local Government origin to rise and support Governor Udom Emmanuel’s “Dakkada Initiative”.

Comrade Mfon Umoh who also doubles as the Chairman Forum of NAAKISS Chapter Presidents described the “Dakkada Initiative” as a veritable tool to rise against biases, ethical sentiment, pull-down-syndrome and other virus that breed hatred amongst the people.
“When we rise against idleness, laziness, examination malpractice, cultism, inferiority complex, we can then say that we are at the verge of breaking off the poverty limit”, the NAAKISS President stated.
Comrade Umoh, an indigene of Utu Edem Urua, Abak Urban Ward 4 in Abak Local Government Area, pointed out that poverty is a mentality that sucks. “It makes you think small and lower that you can die. The time has come for us to rise against poverty”, the Student Leader advised.
He urged Abak Students to rise and emulate Leaders like the State Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo, the Member for Abak State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Elder Friday Iwok, Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr. Aniekan Umanah, Transition Committee Chairman for Abak, Dr. Emmanuel Udosen, Povost Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit, Dr. Patrick Uko, Director General Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation (AKBC), Pastor Anietie Ukpe, Pastor Praise Okon, Lady Vero Usoro, Obong Udobong Mbeye, Brig. Gen. Godwin Afangideh (Rtd), Samuel Ayara who he noted rose from a humble background to become what they are today.
Comrade Umoh who is also a Member of State Campaign Council for Udom/Moses, called on all the students to rise and discover their purpose.
“Dakkada and say no to mediocrity, Dakkada and say no to criminality, Dakkada and say no to poverty, Dakkada and read books, attend seminars and get feed up with the right information that can gear your mentality, “he advised”.
