Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has said that no fewer than three investors have undertaken assessment tour of the moribund Quality Ceramics Limited with a view to resuscitating the industry.
The Governor stated this at the Holy Ghost Ambassadors Ministry Uyo, where he attended the child dedication service of Little Miss Ekemini and Etini, daughters of the Member representing Itu State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mr Idongesit Ituen.
He stated that the industrialization programme of his administration is tilted towards establishing new industries as well as reviving ailing ones to create employment for the Youths of the state. He cited the case of Peacock Paints Limited which has been resuscitated with full blast production to meet the ever increasing demand for the commodity.
Governor Emmanuel, therefore urged the people to come up with business concepts that would stimulate the industrialization growth of the state, noting that even in highly Industrialised Nations, Public Private Partnership (PPP) is the magic that strengthens the economy.
He reiterated his commitment to facilitate a smooth industrial take off in the State adding that the Itu Automobile Plant which ground breaking was done a couple of weeks ago, is undergoing documentation and that in a matter of days, the cite will witness a beehive of activities.
While commending the Church for it partnership with the administration, the Governor remarked that AkwaIbom; a state which is named after God, deserves an altar which would serve as a place of worship for Christians and promised to build the centre in the state.
He expressed appreciation to the Holy Ghost Ambassadors for inculcating morals in the society and thanked God for the gift of the children to the state Law maker stressing that children were heritage from the Lord.
Governor Emmanuel pledged to install a lift facility in the high rise building of the church and announced his decision to embark on a thank you tour of the ten Federal Constituencies as a show of appreciation to the support he has enjoyed from the people since his assumption of office.
Parents of the children, Mr and Mrs Idongesit Ituen who were full of gratitude to God for his benevolence, thanked the Governor and his wife Martha, for honouring them with their presence.
Preaching on the theme “What You See “ Apostle Nyeneime Andy identified leadership as a function of vision stating that every leader must be able to see beyond others.
The cleric who culled his sermon from the book of Numbers Chapter 13, said that a person’s vision determines the extent of his success. He recalled that the twelve Spies in the scripture saw giant but it took Caleb and the few men of faith to see beyond those challenges.
Apostle Andy congratulated the Governor for accepting the mantle of leadership and prophesied that the state will flourish during his reign.
