Incessant Robbery Attacks:  Royal Father Advocates Re-opening of Police post at Inem clan

Following incessant robbery attacks in communities in the state, a prominent Royal Father in the state, the Clan Head of Inem Clan Obong (Dr.) Johnson J. Obosi (JP) Ambp has made a passionate appeal to the state government for the re-opening of police post along Inen-Ekefre road. 

Obong Obosi who is the President Esop Mbong Ikpa Isong Afud Annang, regretted that the absent of the police post in the area which bounded with another state with many Greeks causes rising of criminal activities in the area. 

He appealed that while waiting for re-opening of the police post along inem Ekeffe road, the Ikot Abritam Police Station should be properly equipped and more officers  and  men be deployed to the area. 

The Royal Father also made a case for the speedy construction of Ikot Abritam- Inem Ekefffe road, the only major road in the area, which according to him, had been in a very deplorable state over the years. 


The Clan Head pointed out that if the road is being constructed, it would boost the economy of the area and reduce the hardship being faced by the people. 

The Secretary General Assembly of Clan Head, Akwa Ibom State chapter also called for the construction and renovation of dilapidated structures at the Community Secondary School, Inem Ekeffe to provide conducive learning environment for the student, describing a situation where students receive lectures on dilapidated school blocks as unfortunate especially this rainy season.  

The Clan Head used the occasion to commend the state Governor, His In-law, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for the achievement he has recorded in the state despite the economic challenges facing the nation. 

He described Deacon Udom Emmanuel as a God- Fearing Governor who has the people’s interest at heart and ready to take Akwa Ibom State to the next level of development and called on all to join hands together and support his industrialization and wealth creation policy to succeed.
