Declare state of emergency in Oku-Iboku, Ayadehe and Mbiabo - Idong Ituen tells Udom

The member representing Itu State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Prince Ituen has urged the State Governor Deacon Udom Emmanuel to declare Oku-Iboku, Ayadehe and Mbiabo an Emergency area.

The Lawmaker made the call yesterday during plenary in the motion title “Incessant and continuous killing of Itu people. a call for urgent action”

Prince Ituen also move that the House do pass a resolution mandating his Excellency, the Executive Governor Deacon Udom Emmanuel to increase and sustain security presence and patrols on land and in the adjoining rivers and also declare Itu-Oma an Emergency area, he also appeal to the National Boundary Commission to intensify dialogue between the two States with the view to resolving the crisis and returning peace to the communities involved.
