PDP Rally: Mkpat Enin defies rain to welcome Udom Emmanuel

PDP Rally: Mkpat Enin defies rain to welcome Udom Emmanuel

The last lap of the campaign Rallies  of the People Democratic Party (PDP) took place at the Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State with Stakeholder calling on the government to appoint one of their sons as vice-Chancellor of the State-owned University of Technology.

Speaking on behalf of Mkpat Enin people, the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Lady Valerie Ebe Thanked the governor, Godwill Akpabio, for appointing her to the exalted position and for also sitting the state University in her locality.
She, however, like Oliver Twist, said her people wanted more, especially the courted position of the V.C. of the University.

She promised to ensure that 100 per cent votes from Mkpat Enin would be a Saver to all the PDP candidates beginning from Udom Emmanuel for governor, Hon. Francis Udnyok for Ikot Abasi Federal constituency and Engr. Otobong Ndem for Mkpat Enin State constituency.

Also speaking at the event, a member of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Ekong Sampson Said Mkpat Enin was committed to returning Udom Emmanuel as the governor because he is “a son of the soil”. He maintained that since the main campus of the State University was sited on Mkpat Enin soil, it would be possible to fire a ‘Landslide’ victory for Udom Emmanuel at the polls.

Also addressing the crowd which had defined the rain to witness the rally, Engr. Otobong Ndan said the endorsement of Udom Emmanuel by Mkpat Enin people was   “final and irrevocable”
