Some of the key projects initiated by the Governor Godswill Akpabio administration of Akwa Ibom State are to be inaugurated in March, this year.
Governor Akpabio, who stated this Monday at the PDP Governorship Rally at Abat in Onna Local Government Area said, “The Ibom International Specialist Hospital will be commissioned in March before the presidential election. We will perform a major operation and heart-surgery there. Let me invite you to join us as we commission two new hotels in the month of March, the Uyo Hiltons Hotel and Sheraton by four Points in Ikot Ekpene.
“Let me assure Onna people that you will not waste your vote by voting for President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, you will not waste your votes when you vote Udom Emmanuel for Governor. You will not waste your votes when you vote for all the PDP candidates. A vote for Udom is a vote for development, industrialization, agriculture and continuity”, he said.
The Governor thanked the people of Onna for supporting him in 2007 and 2011 elections and for the support they have given to Udom Emmanuel, admonishing the people not to mind those using propaganda to fan embers of political acrimony in the society.
The PDP standard bearer, Mr. Emmanuel described the PDP rally in Onna as a homecoming, saying he was spurred to serve his fatherland by his vision to develop, industrialize and create wealth for Akwa Ibom people.
Udom, who hails from the area said, Onna was 100 per cent PDP and would vote massively for PDP in the next election.
