The campaign train of Rt. Hon (Elder) Samuel Ikon has continued to enjoy massive endorsement from the people in the Federal Constituency.
Elder Ikon the PDP candidate for Etinan Federal Constituency has taken his campaign to villages, traditional rulers, interest groups, stakeholders and political actors who have all assured the speaker of victory for PDP at the poll.
Meeting with the Mbong Mkparawa Nsit Ubuim, the PDP candidate assured them that he will not disappoint them when he gets to the National Assembly.
Receiving the PDP candidate, Bishop Samuel Samuel who is also the chairman of palace expressed the joy of members of Esop Mbong Mkparawa Nsit Ubuim for the visit of the speaker noting that only the PDP candidate has recognized them.
Justifying
their reason for the adoption, Bishop Samuel noted that the speaker
good deeds earned him a second term ticket which gave him the seat as
the speaker of the 5th assembly. “Again he was found fit to lead
Conference of Speakers of State Legislature as and therefore deserves
our mandate”
Also speaking, Mr. Victor Brown said, Mbong Mkparawa Nsit Ubuim decided to endorse the PDP candidate because of the misrepresentation by the incumbent member of the Federal House who is also from Nsit Ubuim saying from his time as caretaker chairman of Nsit Ubuim, elected Chairman to being a member of the State House of Assembly until now, the people are yet to feel the impact of his representation.
At Etinan Traditional Rulers Council, the Speaker was unanimously endorsed by the royal fathers after a presentation of a mind blowing scorecard before them. According to the Speaker, in the last seven and half years he has been able to attract projects to about 38 villages out of the 64 villages in Etinan local government area, facilitated the employment of Etinan sons and daughters in the Civil Service, Oil companies, Banks and the State Secondary Education Board including training of our children in various vocational skill.
He also listed the construction of roads in Etinan as well as the passage of the law establishing the College of Health technology which will transform the college into a degree awarding institution.
At Oniong Iman, a former ward chairman in South Iman Ward one, Mr. Ikoabasi Archibong Inyang said the people of Oniong Iman had long decided to follow PDP candidate since the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not a representative that can be trusted.
The speaker also met with members of both old and new Integrity Group where they all pledged to work for the success of the PDP candidate since he has not disappointed them since they chose him to represent them in the State House of Assembly.
From Nsit Ibom came the endorsement of the Speaker and all PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections according to Hon Inemesit Ubokudom, Councillor representing Mbiaso Ward 1. “In Nsit Ibom, it is PDP all the way and that covers all the candidates and I can tell you that there is no sane man from Nsit Ibom that will not vote for the PDP”.
