Ikot Ekpene Senate: PDM adopts Inibehe Okori

Ahead of the March 28, 2015 National Assembly polls, the All Progressive Congress candidate for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District and leading contender to represent the area, Obong Inibehe Okori has received a massive boost for his campaigns as The Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) a political party in the state has adopted him as a preferred candidate whose representation would attract quality dividends to the area. 

At a well attended political gathering on Friday at Ikot Ekpene,the State Chairman of PDM, Chief Any Asikpo described Inibehe Okori as well tested and trusted with a pedigree that would enhance development in the area when duly elected.                        
Chief Asikpo said that the PDM’s decision to adopt Inibehe Okori shows the strong capacity of quality leadership he will offer Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District as his wealth of experience in the private sector would be of added advantage in propelling democratic dividends in the next dispensation.    

He said that the party had a candidate in the person of Major General George Umoh (rtd) but that it was generally accepted that the candidacy of Inibehe Okori would enhance the fortunes of the party in the area when he emerges victorious.        Also speaking at the well attended event,a political leader in Ikot Ekpene, Chief Sunny ibanga, acknowledged the giant strides of Inibehe Okori describing him as a trail blazer and a personality that would take Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District to national limelight while drumming support for his victory, while Arc. Okon Obot another frontline leader from the area stated that the Senate seat for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District belongs rightfully to Abak Five Division and that the representation of Inibehe Okori would ensure equity and Justice as duly deserved. 

In his remarks, an elated Chief Inibehe Okori described the endorsement as historic as the parties have come to work for his emergence at the March 28,2015 polls.                            Chief inibehe Okori accepted the mandate given to him to represent the area and assured that he would win the elections as the people had spoken in unity.  

He said with the change coming to Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District with his expected victory, he would lay a new democratic foundation that would sustain development in the area while urging the people to go out and collect their Permanent Voters Cards and protect their votes at the polls because victory is certain for the APC at the polls on March 28 and April 11,2015.   Also present were all chapter chairmen of the two parties across the ten local government areas of the senatorial district, a former commissioner in the present administration in the state, Barr. Austin Mbeh who is also a candidate for another office, ward chairmen, state officers ,women leaders, youths, elders and party chieftains.
