The government is doing well, NAPPS President

The President of the State chapter of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) was conferred with the ambassadorial award of excellence by the Association of Beauty Kings and Queens for his achievements.

The President, Mr. Ubongabasi Ime Equot (JP) used the opportunity to x-ray some issues facing the establishment of private schools in Akwa Ibom State.
He said that the NAPPS in partnership with the Ministry of Education is seriously checking the establishment of “unusual” private schools in the State, due to the fact that some of these schools are not in line with the Association’s regulations.

He further commended the state government for extending support to private schools in the State, by donating educational materials, like text books, through the Ministry of Education. He also passed a vote of confidence on the administration of Chief (Dr.) Godswill Akpabio for the giant strides felt in both public and private schools in Akwa Ibom State.

Ambassador Ubongabasi Ime Equot (JP) also doubles as the Proprietor of Confidence Schools, in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area which is known to be one of the best in the vicinity, with formidable staff strength, to cater for pupils and students.

However, he advised the youths to be the future leaders they are, and also to live by example by being responsible and law abiding. He also invites the public to the forthcoming Annual National Conference in the State which is to be held at the Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio centre, Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo, from 26th – 29th of Nov. 2013.
