Akpabio’s aide donates to less privileged, ors

An aide of the Governor, Comrade Ini Ememobong Essien has donated a new wheel chair to a physically challenged student of Accounting in the Uyo City Polytechnic, Mr. Peter Effiong.

Mr. Essien who is the Personal Assistant to the Governor on Students Matters, made the presentation last week in Uyo in support of the efforts of the Governor’s wife, Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio to improve on the lots of widows and the less privileged in the state.

He described the State Governor, Chief Akpabio and wife as youth friendly and models of qualitative education. 

The former NANS President appreciated Chief Akpabio and wife for setting a good example in leadership for the younger generation to emulate and urged students to utilize their time in school effectively. 

Comrade Ini Ememobong commended the beneficiary for his zeal despite his challenge and encouraged students to be skill driven if they must rise above the menacing rate of youth unemployment in the country.   

The President Students Union Government, SUG, Uyo City Polytechnic, Comrade Mkpoikana Okon Eno thanked the state Governor  whom he noted has given Akwa Ibom people a voice and the Personal Assistant on Students Matters for the gesture.

The beneficiary, Peter Effiong who could not hide his excitement thanked the former student leader for the donation which he said will go a long way to aid his movement. 

Mr. Essien promised another wheel chair to a female student facing a similar challenge and also donated an Air Conditioning Set to 247 Naija TV, an on-line television outfit in the state to encourage the initiative.
