CHRISTMAS SLAP: Umana has inferiority complex - Udoedehe explodes

CHRISTMAS SLAP: Umana has inferiority complex - Udoedehe explodesCHRISTMAS SLAP: Umana has inferiority complex - Udoedehe explodes

*  Says he is a spent force, not bold enough to lead
*  Why Ex-SSG failed last election

APC strongman and  former Minister of State for the FCT Senator John James Akpanudoedehe has described the 2015 APC gubernatorial candidate Obong Umana Okon Umana as a man that is timid, uncoordinated and full of inferiority complex.

The Uyo born political heavyweight stated this last week when he hosted select media chiefs to a  Christmas breakfast parley in the second parlour of his Chapel Villa residence in Uyo.

He traced the inability of APC to win the 2015 guber election to what he described as Obong Umana’s sneaky and tip toeing approach to campaigns. He noted that Obong Umana moved to campaigns as a robot controlled by a certain computer mechanism.

Senator John Udoedehe retorted that the timidity of Umana who left PDP for APC as a spent force and with his spent forces did not give PDP the kind of opposition ACN gave during his time and expressed belief that a man with traits and attributes of Umana cannot win any election anywhere.

He said UOU came to the party (APC) and planted a seed of discord. He accused Umana of trying to capitalize on his (Udoedehe’s name) in APC to win election.

The former Uyo Council Chairman said Umana Umana’s selfishness cost the party victory as there was no one from the party that won any seat in the Upper, Lower or state legislatures.

Furthering on, the former ACN governorship candidate said when he contested against the then Governor Godswill Akpabio in 2011, he built the ACN around policies and that was why it was possible for Emmanuel Ekpenyong and Edwin Joseph to win elections into Uyo /Nsit Atai /Ibesikpo/Uruan Federal Constituency and Uyo State constituency respectively. And chided Obong Umana Umana for coming to APC with people he described as spent forces who do not have any political relevance or importance where ever they are even in their streets.

The APC man throwing more verbal missiles accused Umana of attempting to assume leadership of the party in the state. He said when Umana came in, he began to act in APC as if he has conquered a territory. He working in active conspiracy with the state APC chairman Amadu Atai decided to forcefully replace party officers with people that are unknown in the APC, Udoedehe retorted.

Udoedehe further revealed to newsmen that Umana together with his spent forces in PDP replaced the authentic publicity secretary of the party Samuel Udobong from Eket Local Government Area with Ita Awak his scam partner. He noted also that Umana, Amadu Atai and Otuekong Sunny Jackson connived and caused trouble in Etinan APC and other chapters of the party thereby creating havoc in the party. He observed also that another crisis the duo of Amadu Atai and Umana Umana wanted to throw the party into was the appointment of Don Etiebiet  as the caucus chairman of the party in the state.

Udoedehe informed newsmen that such was one of the most silly things to have been done by Umana and Amadu Atai as Etiebiet has no followership in Oruk Anam where he hails from. The Uyo man maintained that Don Etiebiet has an history of inconsistency and therefore could not have even been an option in such move.

He also argued that the constitution of APC is clear on who should be caucus chairman of APC and that Don Etiebiet is nowhere close to the constitutional requirements of being APC caucus chairman. The caucus chairman recognized by the APC constitution is the state chairman of the party, so Amadu  Atai cannot come up with sentiments and announce Don Etiebiet the caucus chairman, he blasted.

Speaking further Udoedehe said, people like Sam Enwang, Efiok Akpan and other leaders of the APC have thrown their weight of supports behind him hence why the zonal leadership of the party has to sack Don Etiebet and all those who assumed positions in the State Chapter of the APC through the backdoor.

The Don of Uyo politics speaking again said that if Umana is sincere he should have considered the likes of Uyime Ekwere and others who served ACN and APC in his scheme of appointments rather than dish out appointment to his APC spent forces.

The oil mogul reiterated his determination to ensure that the APC in Akwa Ibom is returned to its ideals as according to him, the party and her members cannot sit down and watch Umana Umana drag it to the mud.

The media office of Umana refused to comment when an sms was sent to them. Press secretary of the rmer SSG Iboro Otongaran did not react to an sms that was sent to his line on the many allegations raised against his Boss by Senator Udoedehe.
