John Rogers memorial bible college in new York, U.S.A honours Akwa Ibomites

Following the 10th anniversary of the Heritage Aflame Ministries International and Matriculation/Convocation ceremony of John Rogers Memorial Bible College in Bolivar, New York with its Nigerian Campus situated at No.6 Samuel Peter Avenue, off Ikot Oku Ikono junction in Uyo, which took place on Sunday 4th of December, 2016. The event was indeed seen as a rare brand of its kind.

In an exclusive interview with our Media-House reporter, the Bishop–Elect (Dr. Gideon James Ukubit) who stood in for the International-President of the College and the Church (Dr. David Herne) who hails from U.S.A, told newsmen that Dr. David Herne cannot make it to Nigeria this year due to congested international programmes and routine, coupled with His health challenges., He further brought to limelight the antecedent that had long led to the naming of the College after John Rogers. According to him, Dr. David Herne who is the International-President of the College and the Church is the grandson of John Rogers, and that the man called John Rogers was a globally famed preacher whose spirituality in the early 19th century shook the globe in such a way and manner that attracted and raised the eyebrows of the enemies of Christ; an issue that led to John Rogers being brought to the public-square in the United States of America, and that on being tied to the stake, and told to denounce Christ and the Gospel, John Rogers preferred to die rather than do so, and because of His decision, he was tied the stake in the public-square and burnt to death. He commended this legend, and described him as a model who amongst the slain martyrs and saints, had his blood lavished on mother-earth as a price for the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to spread like what Christ began at Calvary.

The event which saw about 22 students matriculating, and about 5 graduating also had some Akwa Ibom resilience being honoured.

The Father of the day (His Lordship, Justice Egbo Egbo) who happen to have been a retired Justice of the federal High Court of Nigeria, but now a Bishop, spoke to the press and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to God Almighty for being made the Father of the day in such an historic occasion; he added that many should take a positive advantage of what God is doing in this end-time by raising emissaries for himself, and that worshippers of Christ and seekers of the truth should never slack in identifying themselves with the light as it is an honorable path to glory. In a clearer stand, he spoke on the position of morality and the law, and said that the duo exist like husband and wife; and that His success as a Justice in a wonderful Country like Nigeria cannot be detached from his closeness to God as well as His keeping His mind within the sphere of what he would refer to as good conscience and moral probity.

Amongst the Awardees present, were representatives of the famous Atlantic 104.5 radio Fm, as a station whose strides over the years has blazed the trail in setting a platform for the voiceless and the downtrodden in the state, and off-course the Niger-Delta region. It was reliably gathered that the emergence of the Atlantic 104.5 radio Fm, kicked up seriousness amongst neighboring radio stations and other media platforms. The manager of the Atlantic 104.5 radio Fm who stood out and received the Award on-behalf of the radio station thanked God who led the management wisely to accept the invitation and Award amidst many invitations and Awards whom they rejected.

He commended the strides of John Rogers Memorial Bible College in U.S.A, in Africa and in other parts of the globe. He promised partnership in identifying with the great programmes of the Colledge and more, and that with such accolades given to the Atlantic 104.5 radio Fm which has rested much more confidence on them; that they will go all out to do their best in serving the people better than ever.

The Mother of the day (Rev. Dr. Mrs Majorie Abasiodiong) who happens to be the Special-Assistant to the Governor on Skills Acquisition and Projects Development took the centre stage to address the house on how happy she is to see herself being identified with the glorious trend of the Saints and the elects of God; she said that the great strides of the Church and the College has been noted by the government which is what had necessitated the Church being chosen as one of the Government Approved-centre to train people and empower them in skills acquisition.

The Special-Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Skills Acquisition and Projects Developments whose curriculum vitae was so intimidating was also given a distinguished Award for her outstanding contribution to the services of humanity as she also  pledged an inseparable bond and friendship with the College and the Church.

The only Doctorate Degree (Honorari’s Causa) Awardee (Pastor Dr. Patrick Ndifon) who took his turn to brief the press, said that he feels rather more humbled and challenged to serve God the more, following from the history of John Rogers which the Bible Colledge was long named after.

He went further to add that what is happening in his life as at today is not only a fulfilled-prophecy, but a fulfilled personal-dream of His in that many have received prophecies without its fulfillment because of their failure to know that receiving a prophecy is a call to a great task, responsibility and duty, because according to him, the receiver of such good and great spirit lifting prophecies must prepare himself towards the days of fulfillment. Amongst other Awardees and dignitaries were, Supol. Dr. Livinus Nwenyim (The Officer In-Charge) Police Housing-Scheme, Akwa Ibom State;  Supol.
