Ekpoattai says her heart bleeds

The member representing Eket Federal constituency says it is shocking and calls for prayers. In a condolence message, she said, On behalf of the good people of Eket/ONNA/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency, I wish to condole with the government and people of Akwa Ibom state on the unfortunate incident that occurred last Saturday where the Reigners Bible Church collapsed on a crowd of worshippers.

My heartfelt condolence goes out to all those that lost their lives in the Church building collapse.

I received the news of the disaster with utter shock and grief more so seeing the gory pictures of the victims.

While commiserating with the departed souls, I wish to appreciate God for the efforts of His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel, who personally helped in the preliminary rescue efforts.

It is saddening and discomforting that such a disaster could befall us at this time when we should be looking forward to a joyous Christmas celebration and a new year. This is painful and most unfortunate.

I pray God to give the families who lost their loved ones the fortitude to bear this tragic occurrence. May this kind of calamity not befall us again!

May God grant those who lost their lives in the incident eternal repose while wishing those who sustained varying degrees of injuries quick recovery. Mrs. Ekpoattai stated
