The appointment of Hon. Oman Esin as a Commissioner for Transport and Petroleum Resources has obviously indicate good Omen. The former Chairman of Oron Local Government Area is an ideal vessel for the job.
Inauguration event which took place recently at the government house witnessed large turnout of people. After administered the oath of office to all the newly sworn-in commissioners, however the Executive Governor of the State, Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel charged them to apply their wealth of experience to boost industrialization policy of his administration.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Transport and Petroleum Resources, Hon. Oman Esin has expressed profound gratitude to Gov. Udom Emmanuel for appointing him to serve in his cabinet.
He said “I will forever be grateful to God and Gov. Udom Emmanuel for given me this great opportunity to serve Akwa Ibom people, hence I will work diligently and faithfully for collective interest”.
While briefly newsmen, the newly appointed Transport and Petroleum Resources boss, however has reiterated his commitment to transform especially transport sector in the state for greater productivity in line with the industrialization policy of the State Governor.
He stressed that in every society, transport sector plays very important role for economic development with multiple effect on the system. Therefore, he added that “with the introduction of timely new ideas, innovations and right policies, certainly the sector will take a new look for effective operation”.
Accordingly, Hon. Oman Esin has reiterated his open door policies, dexterity and vision with the involvement of the stakeholders in the sector to ensure peace, unity and smooth operation.
Hence, he admonished the operators in the transport sector in the state to be law abiding, peaceful, honest and support Governor Udom administration for mutual benefit. Hence, he charged the operators to rise to the faith of greatness and contribute meaningfully to state economic development.
