Buhari: New dawn for Essien Udim - Umanah

A former Chairman of Essien Udim and Leader of APC in the area, Hon Barr Martins Umanah says the coming on board of President Mahammadu Buhari at this point in our country history represents a new dawn for not just Nigeria but to the people of Essien Udim.

In a statement in Uyo, the former council boss said Buhari’s emergence and inauguration signals a new beginning for the area as things can never be the same as was in the recent past.

Barr Umanah commended the President, stating that his emergence as Nigeria’s President and his ascension to the revered office of Commander in Chief this time as a democratically elected President speaks volumes of his personality and mien towards good governance and exemplary leadership.
He said the President’s dedication, forthrightness, dexterity, sagacity, and gallantry in times past bear eloquent testimonies that endeared the much agitated Nigerian electorates to crave for his success in order for him to use his office as President to ameliorate the sufferings, pains and injuries occasioned by bad leadership in recent times.

The University of Uyo trained legal practitioner said he remains optimistic that Buhari will remain the real symbol of change in the face of these daunting challenges and uncertainties unleashed on the masses by PDP’s impunity, arrogance and total disregard to the sanctity of human life and dignity on the human person which every government swears to uphold.

While thanking the people of Essien Udim for the support and solidarity showed the APC in the just concluded general elections which led to the end of PDP’s sixteen years misrule, Umanah called on the people of the area to continue to pray for and support the Buhari administration to succeed and deliver on the expectation of Nigerians and the International Community.

He expressed delight that the era of impunity and lawlessness is over and called on Essien Udim people not to despair and soon the dreams and aspirations of the people on the APC government will come to pass.
