SAY YES INITIATIVE canvasses total support for Udom administration
A socio-cultural group in the state, the SAY YES INITIATIVE has urged well meaning Akwa Ibomites to rise up and support the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel to achieve its lofty dreams for the state.
The group which was at the forefront during the pre-election period, canvassing for votes for the Udom-Moses ticket said, it was imperative for the people to support a people oriented administration which is already showing signs of living up to expectations.

In a chat with newsmen over the weekend, National Coordinator, Mr Etop Philip Udoh said Governor Udom Emmanuel’s impressive start to his tenure has gone a long way to show that millions of Akwa Ibom people who voted for him have every reason to be thankful to God for allowing the best to emerge.

He said the inauguration of a panel to implement the Ibaka Seaport Project and the genuine desire of the governor to revitalize an almost forgotten Peacock Paints in Etinan are  proves that the governor is in a hurry to walk his campaign talks.

“Governor Udom Emmanuel has always been a man of his words. Right from the onset, those of us who knew him believed strongly in his abilities. We knew he would not disappoint.
“The move to revive Peacock Paints, the setting up of a panel for the actualization of the Ibaka Seaport and the deadline given for its handing over buttresses the desire of the new state government to turn the state from a civil service state to an industrialize hub”, Mr Udoh said.

The National coordinator of the SAY YES INITIATIVE said it was also heartwarming to note that the coming of Udom as governor has also seen a reasonable upsurge in power generation in the state.

He said the promise by the governor to have steady power supply in the state in the next 16 months is also a step in the right direction. He further enjoined every Akwa Ibom son and daughter to join hands with the governor so that our collective dreams of a greater Akwa Ibom will be achieved.
