Jenett Int’l School celebrates maiden Inter House sports Fiesta

… To commence Secondary section soon

With ecstasy and thrill, Jenett International Nursery and Primary School Ikot Abasi local government Urban, held her first Inter House sports competition last Saturday at the Secondary Commercial School Sports ground, Ibekwe, Ikot Abasi local government.

The sport competition was keenly contested by four houses of the school named, Pink, Blue, Purple and Red Houses. However, it was the Purple House that carried the day with blue House coming second while Pink House and Red House came third and fourth respectively.

The excited pupils contested keenly for medals in a total of seven sports namely, Cultural Dance, March Past, Catch the Train, Filling the Basket, Filling the Bottle, Sack Race and Track Events.

In his welcome address, the Head teacher of the School, John Assam Jr. highlighted the importance of sports in the life of the pupils and charged parents and care givers to always encourage their wards to part take in sporting activities, added that sports was a panacea for all round development of children “Sports is the way of enhancing the children’s mental and physical growth. When the pupils are physically fit, they will achieve more academically, it also promotes teamwork, trust, responsibility, friendliness and active lifestyle for all the all round development of a child in a level playing field.” 

Speaking in his capacity as the proprietor of Jennet International Nursery /Primary school, Prince Imo Udoaka expressed optimism that the sporting fiesta will grow to produce world champoins like Blessing Okagbare, Usain Bolt, Christiano Ronaldo and other top athletes in the world.

Prince Imo Udoaka, a successful young entrepreneur, thanked the parents and the host community for their cooperation and understanding; he promised that the school will soon commence the secondary section to further contribute to the development of education in the state.

In his world “I want to show gratitude to our parents and our host community for the friendly atmosphere they have given us to operate, indeed their support has brought us where we are today, Jennet International School, is a school that does not lay much emphasis on today but rather our primary and major focus is on how we can train these children today to become prominent and responsible people tomorrow”.

He enjoined parents to take advantage of the school and enroll their children and wards in the school “it is on this note that I want to call on parents in Ikot Abasi and environs to bring their children to Jenett Int’l Nursery and Primary school, I also want to use this occasion to inform us that we will soon commence our secondary school section, this is to add to the development of Education in our dear state”.
