Udom reassures A’Ibom people of adequate Healthcare Delivery
Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has reassured the people of the state of his drive to ensuring adequate healthcare delivery in fulfillment of his campaign promises and policy thrust of the administration.

The Governor, who made this known during the flag-off of free medical treatment to the people of Ukanafun and Etim Ekpo Local Government Areas at Ikot Akpa Nkuk by Pro-Health International in collaboration with the Houston Chapter of Nto Annang Foundation, said his administration will leave no stone unturned in its drive to ensure good healthcare service is brought to the doorstep of every Akwa Ibom person.
Represented by his deputy, Mr. Moses Ekpo, the Governor thanked Pro-Health for its commitment and steadfastness over the years and the Local Government Councils for providing the needed facilities.

In his words: “I want to thank Pro-Health for their commitment and steadfastness. I also appreciate the Nto Annang Foundation, who has, over the years, given their time and money to the success of the mission. The collaborative efforts of Moses Enoidem Foundation and Samakon Foundation have given Pro-Health the strength to offer succor to close 5million people across Africa.”

Speaking, the Head of Pro-Health International, Dr Ikoidem Ibanga, who said the Mission has been on for the past 14 years, thanked the State Government and highly-spirited individuals for their partnership, adding that the successes they have recorded came as a result of the contribution of these individuals.
In his remark, Chairman of Ukanafun Local Government Council, Apostle Sylvester Udokang, while appreciating the efforts of the state government and the Mission, urged the Udom Emmanuel administration to continue to place premium on the health of its citizens.

Responding, the immediate past Commissioner for Special Duties, Barrister Emmanuel Enoidem, who is one of the major sponsors of the Mission through the Moses Enoidem Foundation and Grace Hospital, said his involvement was due to his love and concern for healthcare services.
He said it was his hope that healthcare services become more rapid in the state and taken to the grassroots at a no cost.

On his own part, the pioneer President of Afe Annang and immediate Special Adviser on Technical Matters, Engr. Etido Inyang, also a major sponsor through the Samakon Foundation, said “I am convinced that healthcare delivery will be in the tertiary level in Akwa Ibom State in the next three years.”

Highpoint of the event included inspection of healthcare facilities at the two venues, cultural display and presentation of Award of Appreciation to the Deputy Governor and Engr. Etido Inyang.
