Organizers of the Nigeria Professional League, League Management Company (LMC) have banned Akwa United Football Club from using Uyo Township Stadium for home matches. THE INK can authoritatively report. Henceforth, Akwa United home matches would be played in U. J. A source close to the LMC on Monday hinted our sports reporter that Akwa United was among the affected teams suspended by the LMC due to poor stadium pitch and facilities.

Our source said LMC suspended nine stadiums from hosting League matches and that the affected clubs are directed to choose alternative venues for their home, adding that the suspension starts from Match Day 12.
However, following reports of various teams that assessed stadium facilities during the three weeks break of the Glo Premier League, nine of the twenty clubs have had their home grounds placed on the suspension by the League Management Company (LMC).
