The Coordinator, Akwa Ibom Consolidation Alliance (ACA) Afaha Obong Ward 2 in Abak Local Government Area, Mr. Friday Asuquo Otu has expressed gratitude to the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for nominating an illustrious son of Abak and the Champion of ACA in Abak Local Government Area, Mr. Aniekan Umanah as a Commissioner in his soon to be constituted cabinet.
Mr. Friday Otu who spoke with our reporter at Abak during the solidarity rally in appreciation for the nomination of Mr. Aniekan Umanah, said the executive and the entire members of ACA in Afaha Obong Ward 2 will continue to remain grateful to the State Governor for making the people of Abak happy through the nomination which he described as meritorious and well-deserved.
He extolled the qualities of the Commissioner designate, describing him as a worthy and illustrious son of Abak who has the interest of his people at heart.
Mr. Otu noted that Mr. Aniekan Umanah has used his previous position to touch the lives of many people positively. The ACA Ward Coordinator pointed out that as the immediate past Commissioner for Information and Communication in the state, Mr. Aniekan Umanah contributed immensely to the success of the Akpabio’s administration, projecting the image of the state positively to the outside world. He prayed God to guide and protect the commissioner designate and give him the requisite wisdom to discharge his about to be assigned responsibility effectively.
In a related development, the House-to-House Women Network for Aniekan Umanah has commended the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for nominating their Patron, Mr. Aniekan Umanah as a Commissioner in the new State Executive Council.
Speaking at the end of the solidarity rally to appreciate the nomination of Mr. Aniekan Umanah by the people of Abak, the Coordinator of the organization in Afaha Obong Ward 2, Mrs. Glory Friday Otu, expressed gratitude to God for answering their prayers with the nomination of Mr. Aniekan Umanah.
Mrs. Glory Otu explained that the women decided to join the solidarity rally because of the person involve. “We decided to join in the solidarity rally to show that we are happy with the nomination of our worthy Patron and Leader. We will continue to pray for him to succeed in his new assignment and also pray for the Governor to succeed”. The women leader stated.
At the occasion, the women were seen beautifully dressed in their uniform, singing, dancing, drumming and thanking the Governor for nominating Mr. Aniekan Umanah.
