Soldiers detain Pastor for raping Minor in Ika

Soldiers at Ikot Udo barracks in Ika Local Government Area have detained Apostle Nnamdi Nyeme of the Great Baptist Church, Ikot Ekong for defiling a 13 year-old girl

Apostle Nyeme who is from Ikot Otong in the same LGA allegedly had unlawful carnal knowledge of the victim who until the incident was serving the randy man of God as househelp

Comfort (not read name) who bled and cried uncontrollably is said to have reported to the father who promptly visited Apostle Nyeme for explanation of the defilement.

Apostle Nyeme reported pleaded with the victim’s family for pardon as he claimed that he was tempted by Satan, adding that he would foot the bill for the treatment of comfort. The father allegedly conceded to the plea, saying that he would collect One Million Naira (N1,000,000.00) or Lexus Jeep.

A credible source alleged that the sexually-excited cleric flouted the gentleman’s agreement. This is when the father spilled the beans at Ikot Udo barracks and man of God was determined and given what the source described as “executive treatment.” After over a week of playing host, a retired permanent secretary from the area intervened as he paid six Hundred Thousand Naira (N600,000.000) on the understanding the balance of would be paid in a fortnight. As at the time of filing this report Pastor Nyeme has been left off the hook by the army authority thereat. 

When our crime reporter visited Ika last Sunday and interacted with some sources, it was learnt that the wife of Apostle  Nyeme died shortly after the shocking news, of the defilement of their family friend’s daughter was made public. Just as the wife’s relative whom Nyeme swindled of undisclosed sum to deliver a car from Cotonou has vowed to go spiritual for the refund of his money.

On whether Apostle Nyeme has ever been a car dealer, a member of the church retorted: “my brother our Apostle just uses the name of God to achieve whatever he wants. There are many cover-ups, ranging from adultery to misappropriation of finance scandals. The only thing is that the father of the rape victim is a very strong man that is out to deal with him.

Apostle Nyeme could not be reached as at the time of filing this report as he could not be found in the church premises even as his GSM line was not reachable.
However, the names of the victim and the father have been withheld by The INK for ethical reasons.
