1ST May marks exactly one year ever since one of the most leading states’s based tabloids in Akwa Ibom hit the newsstands. The debut edition was on the first day of May 2013. From then till now the paper has been waxing stronger attracting commendations, lessons and also criticisms to itself.
The management of the newspaper wishes to use this opportunity to sincerely appreciate members of the public, friends in and out of government, the Akwa Ibom media community and every other person who have made our one year of robust journalism engagement an enterprising one.
We are aware that if you did not stand by us, we would not have come this far and to this end; we cannot thank you all enough.
But we wish to reassure you that we will do our very best. I mean our best of professional engagements. We are grateful to all who despite the challenges, the inconveniences and other factors have kept the faith with us.
We have gotten this far because you have been with us thus far. We have the boldness to report not minding whose ox is gored because you have sustained your faith in us. Therefore, on our honour, we will not disappoint you. We will report the truth, do the truth and sustain the truth.
