Usoro Uso: An exhibition of contemporary Nigerian Arts commences June 8 in Uyo

In a bid to celebrate creativity in Akwa Ibom state, the state ministry of culture and tourism , will be putting together an exhibition of contemporary Nigerian arts tagged Usoro Uso . 

According to the commissioner for culture & tourism, Rt Hon Victor Antai, exhibitions including array of artifacts from countless forms of human making: paintings, drawings, crafts, sculpture,  performances, interactive art from the very best of contemporary Akwa Ibom and Nigerian artists will be on display. 

Expected to grace the exhibition include Veteran sculptor Bruce Onobrakpeya, Ben Essien, Nsikak Essien and Olu Amoda. Usoro Uso which holds at the Ibibio Unity Museum, Unity Park, Uyo will be officially opened by his Excellency Governor Udom Emmanuel on Thursday June 8th, 2017 and will run till June 22nd, 2017.  

Commissioner Antai, onbehalf of his ministry and the government of Akwa Ibom state, invites lovers of art and creativity and indeed all and sundry to witness the epoch making event as the tourism potentials of the amazing Akwa Ibom would be in focus.
