An Eket based group, Mobil filling Station Volunteer Support group for Udom Emmanuel has reiterated its commitment to continue to canvass support for the Governor in 2019 because of his sterling performance in the last two years.
An Eket based group, Mobil filling Station Volunteer Support group for Udom Emmanuel has reiterated its commitment to continue to canvass support for the Governor in 2019 because of his sterling performance in the last two years.
Members of the group participated actively in the victory of Governor Udom Emmanuel in the 2015 gubernatorial election in Akwa Ibom State.
In his Democracy day message to the Governor, the national coordinator, Mr. Sunny Ekerette Wilson, himself a vendor and a youth activist in Onna said “Udom has performed excellently well within the past two years as could be seen by the number of projects commissioned and those that have been flagged off”.
“A less experience person would not have been able to steer the ship of the State successfully without owing workers salary and at the same time embarking on major project execution with lean resources”, Mr. Wilson said.
The coordinator in company of the national secretary, Mr. Ita John, the national P.R.O, Mr. Samuel Emmanuel and Financial Secretary, Fabian Patrick commended the Governor for the commissioning of Eket-Ibeno Road and the near completion of Atabong dualization road which according to him has changed the face of the City.
Mr. Sunny Ekerette popularly known in Eket Mobil Filling Station as “Eyen Udom” said nothing will stop the Governor from having a second term mandate because “he is performing and delivering in his electioneering promises”.
“Former Governor Victor Attah administered the State for eight years, Akpabio had the turn of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district for eight years, Udom cannot be different when we can all see that he is working, he must complete his constitutional eight years for Eket Senatorial district” he said.
He revealed that in 2015 during the Supreme Court case, the group embarked on a 3 day fasting to God on behalf of Governor Udom and that God answered their prayers.
“We have started canvassing support for our Governor and we shall soon go before the presence of God to seek continuous divine guidance towards his success in turning the State into an Industrial hub”, he said.
The group called on the Governor to assist it obtain a befitting office in Eket as membership continues to grow each passing day.
