The Youth Organization in ONNA Local Government has again reiterated their support and loyalty for the governor of Akwa Ibom State Deacon Udom Emmanuel.
The youths under the aegis of Nigerian Youth Council ONNA Chapter made the reaffirmation in a Press Release issued in reaction to a news story in one of the state based newspaper not the INK NEWSPAPER) which claimed that youths of ONNA Local Government Area may withdraw their support from the governor.
The youths condemned in strong terms the news item which it described as false and misleading and advised members of the public to disregard the story which the Release described as “fake”.
The release reads in part, “even though the publication lack truth and substance like every other baseless publications sponsored by disgruntled elements whose stock in trade is to continue to cause disunity but for the interest of the public especially those unsuspecting persons who may be mislead by the lies.
The Onna Youth Council, the Umbrella and apex youths organization in Onna, mandated by law to supervise, regulate and monitor the entire activities of Onna youths wishes to state as follows;
“That Governor Udom Emmanuel is the best thing that has ever happened to Onna and the entire Akwa Ibom State. The performance of Governor Udom Emmanuel in two years has achieved such an impressive leap and glaring for all to see, the entire youths of Onna are proud that such a performing comes from their stock”.
“That the entire members of the public should disregard any publication claiming that Onna youths are disunited, as those who sponsor such publications are non indigenes of Onna, neither are they speaking for Onna youths but just in hurry to attract undue attention
The group said that the youths of the area will continue to stand with their son in all circumstance to enable him achieve his good plans for the state. “The entire Onna youths will always stand with His Excellency until he achieves all his good intention for Akwa Ibom State”
