Ntuk Udeh inaugurate passenger’s waiting hall

The transport commissioner Prince Dr, Godwin Ntuk Udeh has inaugurated waiting halls at Mbiabong Etoi and Nung Oku motor parks to provive comfort to travelers waiting to board vehicle to their destination.
Prince Ntuk Udeh who performed the inauguration on the behalf of the State government said the action was in respond to Governor Udom Emmanual’s directive that all government approved motor parks should be refurbished as a measure to bring sanity into the state transport sub sector and put an end to touting, loading and loading in an unauthorised places.
He noted that the passengers wsiting halls will provide facilities for relaxation and comfort for travelers, drivers and park operators.
Prince Ntuk Udeh commended the Governor for his interest in the state transport sector and called on park management to protect facilities at the parks and urged the park managers to bring their their innovation to bare as such effort will be appreciated by the government.  He announced government’s intention to reconstitue task force and park management committee to add value to the motor parks.
He inspected and inaugurated borehole at Mbiabong Etoi motor park for the community as part of government’s social responsibility.
The Chairman Park Management Committee,  Mr Maurice Edet applauded the Ministry of Transport and pledged that the facilities provided by the government in the motor parks shall be effectively utilized and protected from vandals.
Also his counterpart, Mr Aniedi Edem described the passengers waiting halls as a welcome development and a relief to the traveling public.
Meanwhile members of the public are advised to patronise the motor parks.
