AK-GRAMOV calls for  support for Udom Emmanuel

The Leadership and Members of Akwa lbom Grassroots Movement For Good Governance (AK-GRAMOV) has expressed satisfaction with the Chairman of Nigerian Union of Journalist Elder Patrick Albert for re-positioning the media Sectors in the State. 

The group made the recommendation during a courtesy visit on him to inspect the ongoing Godswill Obot Akpabio International Press Centre projects recently. The International President of the group, Comrade Edima G. Martins, JP. said at the beginning of the State Chairman of the NUJ A-KGRAMOV unanimously adopted Eld. Patrick Albert as Pillar of the group and today they are satisfied with his performances.
Martins said they were in the centre for inspection of the projects adding that the evil forest that was t no more there but it has been transformed to what resident. He appreciated the Immediate past Governor and Grand patron of the Group for working well to re-positioned Akwa lbom state for greatness adding that if Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio had not done well people of the State would not have supported him to have a successor and in extension Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District would not have given him their mandate in the upper Chamber of the Senate. 

He used the occasion to make passionate appeal to those who contested the Election with Udom Gabriel Emmanuel and failed to returns to the folds and contribute to the growth and Progress of the State and the government. 

Martins said AK-GRAMOV will soon have it two years of impact and resourceful existence as an organization celebrated sine been inaugurated in May 25, 2013 and may 2015 was two years but was suspended due to other engagements.

AK-GRAMOV described the NUJ as a means to expose the good deeds of the Government agency. The international President said they are solidly behind the 6 points communiqué of the PDP Stakeholder Akwa lbom state issues to support our Nation President Mahammadu Buhari and Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel. 

Maintain that the 2nd Year Anniversary celebration of AK-GRAMOV with Special thanking Service will follow with tour to enlighten our youth of the needs to support the current Government lead by it patron, His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State and solicited the support of the NUJ and Government agency to the organization.

On his part, the National Vice President of Nigeria Union of Journalist South-South Mr. Edward Ogude has appreciated the group for being so determine to see the unity and Progress of the State Mr Ogude appreciated the State Chairman of NUJ Akwa, Eld Patrick Albert for the good work he has done adding that if the 10 Million Naira the State Government released for the projects was in the wrong hand it wouldn’t have done any remarkable work here but since Patrick is a good man who know what he want and go for it he creatively shown maturity and sincerity in the work ongoing. 

The National Leader of NUJ who is controlling the Six States of South South maintained that he have received calls of appreciation for the Akwa lbom state Council performances while thanking the organization for always rallying up with the NUJ Chairman for the State Progress and ask for God blessing for the Organizations’ Members. 

Responding the State Chairman of Akwa lbom state Council of Nigerian Union of Journalist Elder Patrick Albert expressed happiness with the activities of the organization and the doggedness of the international President Mr. Edima Martins and effort to unite the state and the citizens. 

Elder Patrick used the forum to congratulate the international President for his appointment as supervisory Councilor for Nsit Ibom Local Government Area and expressed satisfaction to the state Governor Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel for recognizing hard work and effort by giving Edima Martins the appointment.
 The NUJ Chairman described the appointment as merited and a stepping stone for the organization and lauded their plea for Politicians who might have loosed election and the winners after announcement of result to stop the war for the Progress and way forward of the state and citizens.

 He said organization such as AK-GRAMOV should resist any politicians who don’t believe in the government directives but wish that the entire society should believe in him. He said ‘if you can not obey command, then you don’t deserve to command. Those who believed until the rule people before anything good happened should not be considered’’ the NUJ boss emphasized.
The performing Chairman asked AK-GRAMOV to continue to build bridges without boundaries, stressing that boundary are just meant for identity of people not for tribal issues or other purposes that is why Uyo must moved to ORON for fishing purposes and Eket person go to Abia State for other humanity demands, and your most reliable friend may not come from your village nor your most valuable house nor wife. So there no need people making tribalism of where they are from but they are important needs of building a society which attract peaceful lifestyle of all citizenry’, Albert enthused.

 The State Chairman of NUJ explained that the status of the international press centre that is named after the former state Executive officer His Excellency, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio  project has gone far and that by January to March 2016 AK-GRAMOV will be invited for commissioning of the edifice.

 Elder Patrick Albert Said international Press Centre is necessary in a state like Akwa lbom where there is an international stadium and international Airport for proper projecting of the visitors and tourists since the media enhances the enlightenment made in the society by any Government. He assured the AK-GRAMOV delegations of NUJ’s support in all their activities as to take necessary enlightenment to the Grassroots for togetherness of Akwa lbom People.

 Goodwill Message was presented by the Secretary General of Cross River State Chapter of the group Mr. Ubong Mfon Reuben, Organizing Secretary, Dr. Abia Ben. The Uyo Chapter Coordinator of the group, Comrade Anietie Hanson. Highlight of the Visit was inspection of the ongoing project within the Centre by the Group.
