As part of strategic moves geared towards actualising this goal, the party has nominated Comrade Ini Ememobong, through the PDP National Directorate of Youth Affairs into the committee with the belief that the former Student leader will bring his wealth of experience to bear in driving the project successfully.
The committee is tasked with the mandate of examining the level of youths’ involvement in the party’s administration and recommend ways of supporting more youths to aspire as the party’s candidates in future elections. The party explained that the move would enhance the participation of youths in political activities and would afford young Nigerians opportunity to clinch tickets for senior political positions across the country.

the Party’s national youth leader include: Abdullahi Maibasira Tony
Nwolu, Ibrahim Aboki, Adebayo Abayomi, Franklyn Umar, Babangida Maina,

The committee is billed for inauguration by the PDP acting national Chairman, Uche Secondus today at the party’s secretariat in Abuja. The party said its new committee would examine the institutional, operational and administrative framework that governs and guides youth activities in the party, as well as recommending amendments necessary to improve and expand youth inclusion in party process. The committee is also expected to review the involvement strategy of youth groups, recommend best practice and avenues for youth group engagements in addition to contemporary methods for youth recruitment, mobilisation and retention in the party.
Meanwhile, the appointment of Ini Ememobong into the committee has been greeted with excitement across the state. Those who spoke with our reporter on the development said that Ini Ememobong’s inclusion in the committee is as a result of his sterling leadership qualities which he has demonstrated in various capacities he has held. The growing optimism is that his appointment into the committee is timely and apt especially as PDP re-strategizes for the future. It could be recalled that Comrade Ini Ememobong was also a member of the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan presidential campaign council.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is still fresh from losing power to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last general elections in its 17-year history.
