87 naira Petroleum price: Akwa Ibom citizens laud IPMAN, Gov’t
A flurry of commen dations has con tinued to trail the leadership of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Akwa Ibom State chapter following the 87 naira pomp price of petroleum product sold across the state.

A cross section of motorists who spoke with our correspondent recently in Uyo, the state capital and other parts of the state commended the leadership of IPMAN led by Mr. Nseobong Umanah  for ensuring stability and normalcy of the price of the product as well as the compliance of it marketers across the state.

The elated motorists who expressed delight over the development, thanked the state government in collaboration with the federal government for a work well done, noting that the reduction and stability of the price of the product has boosted the growth and development of their businesses as well as added value to their livelihood.


One of the drivers who gave his name as Mr. Goody Effiong expressed satisfaction over the availability of the product, adding that the product is sold at the same rate across the state. According to him “I am still surprised to my marrow that petrol can be sold at the same price everywhere in the state. You know, as a professional Driver, I have toured across the nooks and crannies of this state and what I witness on daily basis is a welcome development in the petroleum sector”.

Mr. Goody also commended the state IPMAN boss, Mr. Nseobong Umanah (JP) for his passion for service and love for the people, noting that the gesture has gone a long way towards touching the lives of the downtrodden in the society. “I want to equally commend the leadership of IPMAN in the state for turning the plight of professional drivers and motorists in the state around. This is a clear sign that something better is coming to this sector,” he added.
Mr. Ekponimo Eshiet  also commended the body for what h called “their sincerity and purpose-driven leadership in the state IPMAN”. He described the gesture as a welcome development and requested that the gesture be kept up. 

Mr. Eshiet, also a professional driver, saluted the Buhari and Udom led federal and state government for what he called “their genuine collaboration for development” of the nation and state.   

He said, “I salute the governments of President Buhari and Governor Udom Emmanuel for their improved leadership and genuine collaboration for development of the people. I am okay with their policies and hope more so that it should be implemented equally. I want them to start doing the big talks, just as what is witnessed today in the petroleum sector.
