…as Assembly hopeful assures of effective representation
Tony Akan begs Uruan to vote PDP
The Executive Chairman of  Uruan Local Government Area, Rt Hon Tony Akan has sued the support of his kinsmen to the State Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio and the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the upcoming gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections in the state.

Pleading his people not to allow the emergence of the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC to denigrate the achievement of the Akpabio PDP led government in the state.
In a telephone interview, Hon Akan argued that Governor Akpabio, as the Chairman of PDP governors’ forum has contributed immensely to the uplift of PDP as a party and Akwa Ibom people in general, thus making the state foremost in the community of states in Nigeria and the world over, sighting the Ibom international Airport, the free and compulsory Education and the rebranding of state’s image as part of the achievement.

“my brother, you will agree with me that our governor as an uncommon transformer, who has made his party, the PDP proud deserves our honour for the selfless passion and sacrifice for the the party and the Nation at large. It’s on our part as a people to reciprocate the gesture by honoring him and our party, by ensuring that we cast our vote to the PDP candidates across board. “
According to Mr Akan, who is the former Uyo senatorial district aspirant that stepped down for the emergence of Mr Bassey Albert Akpan, abandoning Gov Akpabio and the PDP at this point in time would be a dis-service as well as Ingratitude to the man who has done us proud in his governance.”

The Uruan born Economist-cum-politician, extended his goodwill messages to the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District , the PDP family in the area for electing Governor Akpabio to represent them at the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
He described Governor Godswill Akpabio as a rare asset, whose replica and goodwill will be difficult to locate in posterity when it comes to modern politicking in the country.

While reiterating his earlier call on his supporters and the PDP faithful to remain steadfast, committed and resilient in their avowed commitment to support PDP Administration, the council Boss urged Uruan people to vote Mr. Aniekan Bassey as member for Uruan state constituency and Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel as Governor on April 11 to help sustain the uncommon transformation in the state

Meanwhile, the Assembly Hopeful for Uruan, Mr Aniekan Etim Bassey has assured the people of Uruan of Effective representation if he assume office.

The Uruan born business mogul made this assertion through a message he sent to our correspondent on the new media. He said, if given an opportunity, he will use his office judiciously such that, he will reposition the status quo of Uruan people and bring it to the limelight of Nigerian political clime.

While praying for a peaceful, friendly weather throughout the election, Mr Bassey solicited the support of his people for him to succeed.
