“Report what you see” Okosisi tells Group

A frontline political observer in the state, Chief Edet Isong (Okosisi) has urged independent observers in the state to be fair in their monitoring of the polls.

Chief Edet Isong who is the chairman of Noble Leaders Initiative stated this in a chat with our reporter while expressing displeasure at the manner at which election activities are reported in the state.

Speaking under the auspices of the Noble Leaders Initiative, the former Transition Chairman noted that the conclusions and reactions of some observers are capable of heating up the political atmosphere of the state and advised them to be fair and objective in their expressions, especially as it pertains to the election results.

Speaking on the April 11th elections, the former Transition Chairman of UrueOffong Local Government Area called on citizens to go out in their numbers to vote for their choice candidates in the gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections, adding that their vote is their power.  

He also advised youths and warring parties to steer off sparking crisis at election venues to avoid being intercepted by the authorities, adding that for the elections to be peaceful and successful all hands must be on deck to combat irregularities.
