A group of academic Scholars in Uyo have packaged an intensive Summer vacation programme for pupils from nursery 1 to primary 5 and from JSS1 to SS3.
In a press statement by the Proprietress, made available to our newsroom the programme commences from Monday, August 4, 2014. While briefing news men in Uyo, the academic director of the programme, Mrs Emem Ibanga stated that the programme will hold at the Hillside Nursery/Primary school number 175 Oron road Uyo from Mondays to Fridays between the hours of 8.am to 1pm.
She stated that the objective of the programme was to prepare pupils and students alike for the academic challenges of the 2014/2015 academic session. Others who would benefit from the summer lessons includes those in primary 5, JSS 3, SS3 and GCE candidates. She advised parents to make good use of the opportunity presented by the organizers to boost the academic performance of their ward.
She further added that, the long holidays should not be wasted with children idling away as an idle mind can become the devils workshop. Rather, she urged parents to take advantage of the window to beef up whatever knowledge the children acquired in the last term and what will be useful for their future assuring that tested, trusted and trained educationists are on hand to teach them.
