The former transition chairman of Itu Local Government Area, Hon. Idongesit Ituen says Eket Senatorial District must produce the next Governor of the State and therefore must be encouraged to achieve the feat.
Ituen stated this last weekend in Uyo when he inaugurated the Itu Chapter Executive of Grand Coalition. The former Itu council boss while commending Akpabio for towing the path of equity, justice and fairplay by proclaiming Eket Senatorial District the owner of the Governorship ticket by 2015 said it is unthinkable for someone to feel that Akpabio should not be interested in who succeeds him.
Ituen maintained that the task of shifting power to Eket must be done while observing that the senatorial district has men and women of proven integrity who are capable of continuing with the uncommon transformation that has been a part of the State since Chief Godswill Akpabio took over the reins of power in 2007.
He recalled how Akpabio became governor and stressed that the youths of Uyo Senatorial District must unite in one voice and work towards ensuring that power is shifted to Eket Senatorial District after Governor Akpabio’s tenure must have ended in May 2015.
