Aniekan Umanah may quit

Aniekan Umanah may quit
If information reaching our desk is anything to go by then, the state commissioner for Information Mr. Aniekan Umanah may resign his appointment from the Akpabio led Exco sooner this year.

A competent source told our reporter last week that the state Governor had read a riot act to members of his Exco that anyone who is interested in the 2015 election should tender his resignation and move on. Being fully aware of this and in other to have time to prepare for his alleged 2015 House of Representatives ambition Aniekan Umanah is said to have planned towards his resignation which may likely come up by March, April or May a reliable source informed our political correspondent.

At an interaction with some members of the correspondents’ chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Aniekan Umanah is said to have confided in them that he was seriously considering stepping aside to pursue his House of Representatives ambition. The information boss is said to have opined that he has to move on in life and his next point of action is the green Chambers of the National Assembly were he intends to represent the people of Abak/Ika/Etim Ekpo federal constituency.

He is said to have seriously solicited for more support from those he confided in even as he plans towards his House of Representatives ambition. If Aniekan Umanah summons up courage to contest the 2015 elections, then he will have the likes of Hon Uwem Udoma, Iboro Udobot, and Joseph Ikpaisong amongst others to fight for the PDP ticket with.
