Youth leader renovates Primary School BY EMMANUEL AKPAN

The youth president of Itiam Etoi community in Uyo Local Government Area, Ambassador Ukai Udeme Emmanuel has completed the renovation of dilapidated classroom blocks of the Methodist Primary School, Itiam Etoi.

Ambassador Ukai Emmanuel disclosed this last Wednesday during a media chat with selected journalists in Uyo. He said that his determination to renovate the primary school was to complement the State Government’s free, compulsory and qualitative education policy as well as make the school more comfortable for the children of his community.

The youth leader emphasized that his gesture to renovate the classroom blocks was to leave an indelible legacy on the annals of educational growth in Itiam Etoi in particular and the state at large. He also enumerated his achievements as the community youth leader to include: bringing the youths of the community together, provision of boreholes, building of an ultra modern Bus stop, a mini plaza amongst others.


Ambassador Ukai Emmanuel who advised the youths to always partner with him in the promotion of good governance in the community, called on well meaning sons and daughters of the community to always contribute their quota in developing Itiam Etoi for a better tomorrow.

According to him “all the things I have done for my community as the youth president is not connected with any political ambition. I am only a friend to the government”.

Ukai Emmanuel who is an Ambassador for peace to the United Nation and also the State coordinator, disclosed that the love he has for Itiam Etoi has given birth to the numerous things he has done for them especially in the area of engaging the youths in football competitions which has helped to uncover a lot of talented players, courtesy of his foundation (Ambassador Ukai Foundation).

The President maintained that the competition tagged “Akwa Ibom Unity tournament” has 18 football Clubs participating and over 200 youths engaging in it for the promotion of peace and unity among youths in Itiam Etoi and the State in general. Ukai Emmanuel seized the opportunity to appeal to the State Government to come to the aid of the community by appointing their indigenes to work in various positions in government.
