2015: We will contest all elective positions, says AD BY EMMANUEL AKPAN

The State Chairman of Alliance for Democracy (AD),Pastor Ekomobong Akpan has said that his party will contest all elective positions in Akwa Ibom State come 2015 general elections.

Pastor Ekomobong Akpan dropped this hint last weekend in Uyo while responding to questions from our correspondent.

The party chairman said he is working very hard to re-invigorate and also re-strengthen the party for it to be adynasty in the forthcoming general elections in the state adding that the party is currently undergoing restructuring in order to withstand the pressure from other political parties as well as win in the general elections. He further called on the party faithful not to relent efforts but rather work hard towards victory for the party come next general elections

On his part, the chapter Chairman of the party in Uyo Local Government Area, Mr. Peter Bassey noted that Alliance for Democracy is waxing stronger especially in Uyo Chapter, while he maintained that a state congress of the party will take place soon so as to be able to replace some inactive members with committed and active members in the state and chapter executives respectively.

The chapter chairman appreciated all the party faithful especially those he regards as committed members for standing and supporting the party during and after the 2011 general elections even as he called on everybody to join hands in building the party for a stronger opposition in the 2015 general elections.

According to the Uyo chapter chairman, Alliance for Democracy (AD) is still alive. So i am using this medium to callon all our supporters to come back and join force with us so that we can be able to contest and win some elective positions in the state come 2015. We will mobilize in all the 31 Local Government Areas as well as regain our members back to the party fold.
