Play Terrace: Nseowo debriefs Barr Nwoko

Play Terrace: Nseowo debriefs Barr Nwoko
The much talked about N500m lawsuit slammed by Captain Iniobong Ekong (Rtd) on Nigeria’s Youngest Editor, Ifreke Nseowo has resurfaced after being thought by most members of the public that it has died-off or settled out-of-court.

Life was brought back to the case as it is understood that the highly rated young editor has debriefed Barr. Uwemedimo Nwoko as his lawyer, and has gone ahead to engage the services of a radical legal man and human rights activist, Eddie Ntukidem LLB (Hons) B.L, a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Though the reason Nseowo changed his lawyer is unknown, our investigations reveal that the top-notch blogger who is the Managing Editor of Community Pulse newspapers took the action because he felt he needed a lawyer who will show great passion and enthusiasm for the case and ultimately sway the case to his favour with a great defence.

Captain Iniobong Ekong, a former transition committee chairman in Nsit Ubium and currently serving as Governor Godswill Akpabio’s Personal Assistant on Security Matters claims he was defamed when Nseowo wrote on his blog (www.connoisseurNG.com) post which went viral that a certain Captain Iniobong Ekong is the alleged owner of a popular Uyo exclusive lounge bar, Play Terrace.

The case is in Uyo High Court before Justice Ifiok Ukana of court 6. After being adjourned twice, the case comes up again for mention on Monday, 24th February, 2014.
