MAY DAY- Okori felicitate Nigerian workers ... Assures of better days ahead
A Chieftain of the APC and Senatorial Candidate of Akwa Ibom North West  Senatorial district, Chief Inibehe Okori has felicitated with Nigerian workers as they mark this year’s Workers Day celebration.

In a statement in Uyo, Chief Okori congratulated Nigerian workers for their dedication, patriotism, resilience and contribution to the gains and successes recorded so far despite a tough working environment they find themselves, assuring that with the emergence of Buhari as the next President of Nigeria will bring about change to both the lives of the average Nigerian worker and their families and a better, effective, efficient and result oriented working environment that will fast track the implementation of government policies and programmes to the benefit of the Nigerian people.

The APC Chieftain who lamented the harsh reality facing Nigerian workers, however commended the workers for their effort at moving the public service to where it is today,admonished the workers that there is always room for improvement which calls for greater input from them. 


He explained that though the expectations of Nigerian workers on Buhari are high, the incoming administration will leave no stone unturned towards ensuring that issues affecting the welfare of Nigerian  workers are given top priority.

Chief Okori assured that though the challenges are enormous, the Buhari administration will collaborate with the legislature to ensure that issues  such as renumeration, health insurance, affordable housing with flexible mortgage facility,a transparent pension scheme, an effective and workers friendly transport scheme are made available, affordable and accessible to Nigerian workers towards creating a better and worker friendly working environment that will ensure greater efficiency and productivity of Nigeria workers to aid smooth and efficient policy formulation, monitoring, evaluation and implementation for the benefit of the masses. 

He thanked the workers for the overwhelming support and solidarity they gave the APC in the just concluded general elections and assured Nigerian workers of the determination of the APC incoming administration towards fighting corruption, reducing the cost of governance, enhance infrastructure, diversify the economy towards enhancing  the prospects of industrialization, job creation and poverty reduction. Okori called on the workers to show more committed and patriotism in the discharge of their duties toward repositioning the public service for greater efficiency.
