Udom Emmanuel harps on humility at Chief Judges Valedictory Service
The Akwa Ibom state governor-elect Mr.  Udom Gabriel Emmanuel has extolled the excellent leadership virtues of the immediate past state chief judge of the state Justice Idongesit Ntem Isua.

Speaking at a valedictory/ send forth ceremony which took place at Christ the King Cathedral along Wellington Bassey Way Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital, the Governor-elect noted “when I came into the state as the secretary to government, I found in our retiring Chief Judge not just an elder sister but one who portrays the Grace of a mother.”

Udom who acknowledged Justice Isua as an embodiment of humility who exhibited the fear of God in the discharge of her responsibilities, urged people in places of authority to always uphold discipline and uprightness in order to be remembered for the best reasons.

Also at the occasion were the state deputy governor Noble lady Valerie Ebe who spoke on behalf of the governor, the speaker of the state House of Assembly who was represented by Hon. Onofiok Luke, the state deputy governor-elect Mr Moses Ekpo, the Chief Judges of Bayelsa and Cross River States, Commissioners, Special Advisers, other judges and members of the legal profession among others.


Responding the outgoing Chief Judge Justice Ntem Isua thanked the state governor Chief (Dr) Godswill Obot Akpabio for having appointed her as the state chief judge stating that she was not the only qualified judge for the position.

She admitted that God’s favour had enabled her to attain such a height in her profession.

She thanked her colleagues for their support throughout her stint, and for coming to celebrate with her.
The officiating minister while speaking thanked the governor-elect for promising to embark on a massive industrialization of the state noting that all the youths will be gainfully employed.
