The wife of the Akwa Ibom State Governor   Mrs. Unoma Godswill Akpabio yesterday commissioned a new council secretariat built and equipped in Uquo the Esit Eket capital by the council Chairman Deacon Ibanga Etang.

Cutting the tape to commission the ultra modern building, the Governor’s wife praised Deacon Ibanga Etang for what she described as quality leadership for the people. She maintained that Etang has proven to be a good student of the Akpabio leadership school of thought.

The first lady while commending the cooperation of the people of Esit Eket described Ibanga Etang as a performing council Chairman. She said, “Ibanga Etang is a performer and will continue to perform”

The Eka Esit Mbom Akwa Ibom while making a case for the continuous leadership of Etang spoke to the Political leader of Esit Eket pointedly. She said the Political leader (referring to Ibanga Etang) is a performer and will continue to perform. A position that drew applause from those who graced the occasion and a sign showing that she was making a case for the second term of Ibanga Etang.

Also speaking, the General Overseer of New Birth Bible Church, Apostle Josephine Eggar gave a charge where she urged the people to always seek the face of God in all the things they do. She said the affairs of men are controlled by God and hence the need for the people to always seek God’s face in all their doings. She called on the people to pray for the leaders of the state at all levels and promised that the church will always as usual pray for the state and the nation at large.
