The magnificent Nwaniba Hall of Le Meridien Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort was filled not just to the brim, but filled with high expectations from the guests.
The beautifully decorated hall had a hospitable ambience; the lighting depicted a mood for gratitude, same as the performances by carefully selected acts as announced intermittently by the very eloquent MC- Aniekeme Finbarr.
The much publicised Labour of Love Concert & Awards came out in rainbow colors.
As the end of the Godswill Obot Akpabio led administration in Akwa Ibom state draws near, individuals and groups have continued to express appreciation for the development witnessed during the governor’s eight years in office.
One of such appreciation is coming from Dear Kelly- Godwin Attah-South African based Akwa Ibom born artiste and CEO of Goldhouse Productions International, organizers of the ‘Labour of Love Concert & Awards’. The Chairman of the occasion, MD of Niger Delta Development Commission Sir Bassey Dan Abia was represented by Barrister Obio Offiong, S.A Admin.
In his speech, the CEO of the company, reiterated the essence of celebrating Governor Akpabio’s uncommon transformation agenda and administration in Akwa Ibom state through Labour of Love Concert, he briefed the audience about his experience in other countries, and how Akpabio has made him to walk proud abroad.
He stated the concert is a sincere effort towards showing heartfelt appreciation to a Governor whom during his tenure, has redefined the hopes of Akwa Ibom people, and has repositioned the perception of the Akwa Ibom brand in the global community’.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Governor, Engineer Etido Inyang appreciated the Goldhouse Team for putting up such magnitude of event, he said the governor regrets not being available for to receive the award personally, but promises to host the organizers for an official presentation before he leaves for the Senate in Abuja.
The auspicious occasion featured presentations, performances and awards. Top Nigerian celebrities and personalities who graced the event include veteran musician cum actress-Onyeka Onwenu; now Director General at National Women Center,Abuja, Daddy Showkey, alongside their Akwa Ibom state counterparts like Mish, Pasto Goody Goody, Amaikah, Godfada, Presh, Fadabasi, Sir James, among others.
