The umbrella body of Iman Ibom students, National Association of Etinan Local Government Students (NAELGOS) has again been enveloped with crisis emanating from a face-off betweenmembers of the executive council and the worldwide President, Comd. Oku Amos.
Information revealed by a close source has it that the President, since his inauguration has been involved in activities that are not in consonant with the constitution of the association, adding that his actions has constituted a gross misconduct on his part.
Comrd. Oku Amos who emerged the worldwide number one student of Iman Ibom on a controversial note had earlier been challenged on the legitimacy of his candidature during the worldwide election of NAELGOS last year. According to our source, nine out of the eleven executive council members of NAELGOS worldwide have signed an impeachment letter, having held series of meetings to call the President to order. Some chapter presidents are also reported to have supported a vote of confidence on Comd. Oku Amos.
The National Association of Etinan students worldwide is the only recognized umbrella body of Etinan students and it would be recalled that Comrd. Oku Imewho was the former chapter president of the University of Uyo chapter was elected the worldwide president by delegates from all the chapters making up NAELGOS worldwide.
